Today on 04/02/2010 ( 4 feb 2010) Chief Minister of Jharkhand Sri Sibu Soren visited Floriculture Center at Gobindpur, Dhanbad. He arrived floriculture center at 4 pm. State agriculture and animal husbandry minister Sri Mathura Prasad Mahto was also with him. SHG members welcomed CM with traditional way of arti and given a flower bouquet to both CM and agriculture minister. Chief Minister visited both polyhouse located at floriculture center. First he visted Gerbera polyhouse and then Rose polyhouse. He was very impressed with the quality of Gerbera flowers. In rose polyhouse CM Sri Soren asked the utility of bud nets and he was surprised with the quality of Rose. Deputy Commissioner of Dhanbad Sri Ajay Kumar Singh and Chairman of Society For Integrated Development (SID) Sri Amit Kumar Sinha explained the whole project to Sri Sibu Soren and Sri Mathura Prasad Mahto. After that Sri Soren donated a passenger auto rikshaw to Gobindpur Flower Producer Company Ltd. for carrying SHG members from their village to center. Chief Minster interacted with SHG members and asked them about their income and possibility of the project. General Manager, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Mr. G.M Panda visited our floriculture center located at Gobindpur Dhanbad on 22nd January 2010. He was accompanied by Mr. Chandan Kumar AGM, RBI, Ranchi. Mr. Panda was very impressed with our work, he also praised our model. He was very impressed with quality of Gerbera flower. Mr. Panda interacted with SHG members who are involved in floriculture project. SHG members provided all the details he asked. He was impressed that all the members are having individual saving accounts in banks and they are getting all the money from Gobindpur Flower Producer Company from Cheque. He also inspected quality of food products which has been made by SHG members who were getting training upon food processing at training center. Mr. Panda also assured that NABARD will also support this project. DRDA Director, Dhanbad, Sri Naresh Kumar Singh, Lead District Manager from Bank of India, Sri Sudhir Sharma, Zonal Manager of Bank of India, Sri Asim Kumar Sinha, BDO of Gobindpur block Mrs. Smrita Kumari, Chairman of Society for Integrated Development (SID) Sri Amit Kumar Sinha, District Project Coordinator of SID Sri Chandrashekhar Pandey were present during visit of GM,RBI. Here are few pics under construction polyhouse located at Gobindpur (Govindpur) Dhanbad. Here three polyhouse each having area of 2000 Sq.M is under construction. Out of three, two polyhouse has been constructed by District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) Dhanbad and one has been constructed by Society For Integrated Development (SID). These polyhouses by SID and implemented by SID. Including these three polyhouse SID will manage 5 polyhouses covering area of 2.5 acres. One unit is already working where we are producing gerbera and rose. Three polyhouse will start functioning from January 2010. Here are the pics.
